The Falcons keep rolling in the playoffs with a victory in the 2nd round against Thousand Oaks, by a final of 4-3.

It was a very big win against a talented Thousand Oaks team tonight.  The Falcons did all their damage in the 3rd inning with all 4 runs being scored that inning as the Falcons batted around the order.  Chad Ruf started it off with a single, then Jamie Bleveans walked, and Will Grimm singled up the middle to load the bases.  Vincent Parrott then doubled to plate two runners.  After a ground out, a wild pitch scored Grimm for the 3rd run.  Noah Maddox then delivered a base hit to score Parrott, and it was
4-0.

After that it was grab on to something and hold on!  Noah Maddox pitched 4 scoreless innings to start the game and gave way to Will Grimm in the 5th inning. Grimm inherited two runners in that inning, and Thousand Oaks was finally able to get some clutch hits to get back in the game, scoring 3 runs, but thankfully left men stranded at 2nd and 3rd base.  The 6th inning saw them threaten, but stranding runners at 2nd and 3rd again.  Finally, the 7th inning Thousand Oaks again had runners at 2nd and 3rd and were unable to push the runners in.  Those were some nail biting moments for Grimm but he was able to fight through the pressure and deliver big pitches for the save, and off to the quarterfinals.

The Falcons take on Quartz Hill at Stengel on Friday at 4:15.

See you at the next game!
