The Falcons fought, battled, stayed composed, and eventually came out the winners in an epic battle of the two undefeated teams in the Pacific League, by a final of 2-1.  The win guarantees at least a share of the title for the Falcons.

Trevor Beer continually grinded out pitch after pitch to get the job done and proved he has the mettle to face any situation on the mound.  The Apaches got a run in the first inning, but did not manage to plate any other runners for rest of the game.  Beer ran out of pitches with two outs in the 7th and the Falcons brought in Luke Hempel to close out the game.  Facing a hostile crowd, Hempel delivered a gutsy performance to get the last out of the game in a pressure packed situation.  What a last out it was...a play at the plate that left the Arcadia crowd and players stunned as their perfect season came crashing to a halt.

The Falcons hit a lot of balls hard during the game but just couldn't find many holes in the Apache defense.  Luckily, the Falcons were able to generate some offense in the 2nd inning, which saw the Falcons put up there ony two runs of the game.  Brian Ghattas reached first base on an error and eventually made his way to 3rd base with one out.  Lorenzo Respicio then battled his way through an 8 pitch at-bat to deliver a base hit and score Ghattas from 3rd.  Respicio ended up at 3rd himself on a failed pickoff at 1st base that went into right field.  That set the stage for Isaac Sung who also hung tough during an 8 pitch at-bat to deliver a sacrifice fly, to center field, that scored Respicio.  It was hard to believe at the time that would hold up for the winner, but thankfully it did.

The Falcons return to Stengel Field on Friday for the rematch and chance to take sole possesion of the crown.
