CIF Division I Champions: 1998
The Falcons finished off Pacific League play the only way it should...with a doggie pile celebration on the field.  The Falcons beat Arcadia by a final of 5-4 to clinch a share of the title.

With the winner of the game guaranteeing at least a share of the title, the pressure was on and the atmosphere was electric.  Stengel was packed with fans to see who would come out on top of this title match.

The Falcons got off to a hot start by scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the first, but cooled off after that.  Trevor Beer had the Arcadia batters off balance the first 5 innings not allowing any runs.

The top of the 6th was a different story though.  Arcadia was able to cobble together some offense againgst Beer and Scott Vinceri that led to four runs and the loss of the lead.

The lead for Arcadia didn't last long.  Hits from Will Smiley, Max Meyer, and Chuck Weinmann loaded the bases in the bottom of the 6th.  With two outs, Ryan Lynch came to the plate, and as usual, delivered for the Falcons with a well placed fly ball to right field that scored 2 runs.

With a 5-4 lead, Vinceri closed the game out in the top of the 7th, inducing 3 ground balls, and the celebration was on!!!

Congratulations to the players, coaches, and parents on another Pacific League title.  A great deal of hard work, time, and commitment goes into playing at a high level.  This team overcame a lot of adversity throughout the season.  The players stepped up and grinded out every game...it truly was a team effort!
