The Falcons bounced back from their loss on Tuesday night to edge out Burbank by a final score of 4-3.
That stats will show the Falcons only managed 3 hits for the evening, but there were a number of balls that were hit hard but right at a Burbank player. Some loose pitching by the Burbank starter in the 1st inning was where the damage was really done, allowing the Falcons to scratch out 3 runs that inning. The offense put up their 4th and final run of the game on a passed ball in the 3rd inning.
Noah Maddox produced a gritty performance on the mound, and battled his way through 6 innings only allowing 2 earned runs. Chad Ruf came on in the 7th with the game on the line, and the tying run on 2nd base. After a sacrifice fly put Burbank within one run of tying it up, Ruf was able to get the final out and earn the save.
