The Falcons suffered their first lost of the season tonight against Etiwanda, by a final of 2-1.
It was a defensive battle through 5 innings with neither team able to plate a runner. In the top of the 6th, Etiwanda took the lead scoring 2 runs in the inning. It could have possibly been worse for the Falcons if it wasn't for center-fielder Isaac Sung, who made a great sliding catch and doubled up the runner on 2nd base.
The Falcons did manage to out-hit Etiwanda for the game with 7 hits versus 3 for the visitors. Unforturnately, the Falcons were never able to string those hits together until the bottom of the 7th, when they scratched out their only run for the game. The Falcons did put up a fight though, and had runners at 2nd and 3rd with two outs, but the elusive game winning hit was not to be tonight.
Brian Ghattas and Jamie Bleveans each had two hits for the night.
