The Falcons start off the Babe Herman Tournament with a win over Paramount, by a final of 5-2.

Chris Lawson started off the game, pitching 3 innings and allowing only 2 runs (both unearned).  Justin Parrott came in and closed out the last 4 innings, only allowing 1 hit and not allowing any runs.

The Falcons did most of their damage in the 3rd inning, scoring 4 of the 5 runs for the evening.  With singles from Will Grimm, Vincent Parrott, and Trevor Beer to start the inning, bases were loaded with no outs and the RBI guys coming to the plate.  Brian Erickson then delivered an RBI single scoring Grimm.  Chase Smith then singled to score Parrott.  JD Schaffer then hit a ground ball to plate Beer for the RBI.  The 4th run of the inning was scored on a past ball.

The last run of the game was scored in the 6th by Jamie Bleveans (after reaching on a single) who raced home from 3rd base after Grimm got in a pickle between 1st and 2nd after his own single.

Falcons play game two of the tournament Monday night at Stengel.
