The Falcons came through in a tight contest tonight by a final of 3-2 over Upland.
Luke Hempel got the start on the mound today and delivered a gritty performance pitching 4 1/3 innings and allowing only 2 runs. Ty Langford came in and got some tough outs in relief to seal the victory.
The Falcons did there damage in the 3rd and 4th innings. Vincent Parrott delivered a key two out hit plating Isaac Sung, who beat out an infield ground ball in his at-bat, for the first run for the Falcons.
The 4th inning saw an RBI single from JD Schaffer, which scored Brian Erickson, who battled at the plate to draw a walk. Isaac Sung then drove in the 3rd run of the game, which turned to out to be the winning run, with a single to right field. Chase Smith, who reached on a double, scored on the play.
The Falcons showed their mettle tonight grinding out the win against a good team and keeping their composure in tough situations. Things are coming together for the team!
