The Falcons kept it rolling tonight with a non-league win against Birmingham, by a final of 7-0 in a makeup game from the Babe Herman Tournament.
Drew Atherton went 5 five innings on the hill for the Falcons and only allowed one hit. Ty Langford came into close out the last two innings and also only allowed one hit.
The Falcons got on the board in the 2nd inning with a two-out hit by Vincent Parrott that scored Nico Arredondo who led off the inning with a single.
The offense followed up with more runs in the third with an RBI walk for Troy Leef with bases loaded, and then Chuck Weinmann delivered a base hit that plated 2 more runs.
The 4th inning saw three more runs for the Falcons with a triple from Brian Erickson that scored 2 runs, and Arredondo with a single that plated Erickson.
The team was in cruise control from there on with sharp defense and a lot of strikes by the pitching staff.
