There is no easy way to say it, but we lost today and the ride is over. I could go into the details of the game, but it won't change the disappointing outcome. It was definitely a game of what ifs. What if we made that play? What if that ball didn't or did drop? What if the umpire saw it differently? Bottom line, it just wasn't the Falcons day, as they were bounced out of the CIF Southern Section Playoffs, in the Quarterfinals, to the Tigers of Valencia High School, by a final score of 8-2.
It was a hell of a ride, and I had a front row seat to all the action. The camaraderie exhibited in the dugout was magical, and a lot of fun to watch...a truly great group of young men.
