The Falcons scored in all but one of the innings they came to the plate in, and overpowered Alta Loma tonight, by a final of 10-5.
The Falcons gave up runs in the first 2 innings but kept bouncing back and never reliquished the lead after the 2nd inning.
Will Grimm started on the hill and produced a solid performance. Chris Lawson and Ty Langford came on in relief with the later closing out the game.
Vincent Parrott got the Falcons on the board in the 1st taking home off a good read on a ball that trickled away from the 1st baseman on a pick play.
Jamie Bleavens plated Brian Ghattas in the 2nd inning with a groundball RBI. Isaac Sung followed that with an RBI single that scored Chase Smith, who had drawn a walk after a quality at-bat.
The 3rd inning was especially memorable as Brian Erickson blasted a ball over the left field fence for the Falcons 4th run of the game.
The Falcons exploded for 5 runs in the 4th inning all with two outs. Parrott drove in 2 with a roped double down the left field line. Trevor Beer immediately followed Parrott with his own RBI double. Ghattas then stepped up and delivered an RBI single.
After allowing some runs in the top of the 6th, the Falcons plated another run in the bottom half of the inning on an RBI sacrifice fly by Beer.
