The Falcons took care of business on their home field with a victory over Arcadia, by a final of 1-0 and clinched the Pacific League Title.

The evening got off to an unnerving start when starting pitcher Scott Vinceri was unable to take the hill with an injury that occurred during his warmup session.  Not to worry though, Mr. Reliable, Drew Atherton quickly warmed up and pitched 5 scoreless innings.  The moment wasn't too big for Atherton, who pounded the stike zone with 38 out of his 51 pitches being strikes.

With the Falcons only putting up one run for the game, offensive highlights weren't in abundance.  The lone run came in the bottom of the 4th inning when Trevor Beer led off the inning with a base hit down the left field line.  Nico Arredondo then layed down a sacrifice bunt to move Beer to 2nd base.  Max Meyer stepped up and hit a bullet past the 1st baseman on a 1-0 pitch that plated Beer for the only run of the game.

With the Falcons holding on to a slim lead, Trevor Beer came in to pitch the 6th and 7th innings to earn the save.

This is the Falcons 2nd League Championship in a row.  Congratulations to all the players, coaches, and volunteers on winning the title.
